Berkshire No. 7 is a wood and steel barge that was sunk in Bridgeport Harbor, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. It was built in 1935, which makes it unusually young for NRHP listing. No part of the barge was visible above water.[2]
When it sank, it took two other barges moored to it down as well: The Priscilla Dailey, built in 1929 and the Elmer S. Dailey, built in 1915. At low tide, the gunwale of one barge is visible from the Stratford Avenue Bridge. In 1997, the State Police diving team inspected the vessels and reported that much deterioration had taken place. These barges are the only shipwrecks in Connecticut listed on the National Register of Historic Places.[3]
